+Due to the repeated request of numerous scientists, the working group will once again offer a Satellite workshop **Fundamentals and Applications of Neutron Diffraction in Crystallography** following the DGK Annual Conference 2018. The workshop is planned for Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning. It offers lectures on the basics and various methods and examples of diffraction, spectroscopy, etc. with neutrons as well as the opportunity for detailed discussions and exchange of experience. Interested persons are cordially invited to register for the participation on the homepage of the DGK annual conference 2018 or directly at the working group spokesman martin.meven@frm2.tum.de

In addition an overview of typical large scale facilities, their technique and kind of methods they offer for structure analysis will be given including some information about how to acchieve beam time successfully.\\
