There exists a plenty of Python distributions. For ufit we recommend to use Anaconda, because it includes almost all required libraries and it is very well suited for scientific work. 

In addition it is availbable for all major platforms.</description>

Ufit is possible to use in two ways - as a software with rich GUI (graphical user interface) or as a library in Python. Some features are not yet implemented in GUI, like global fitting of more datasets.
